Cookie Policy
Last Modified: 3 November 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how UptimeX (operated by Rekwiem) uses cookies and similar technologies on uptimex.co, including the dashboard and status pages we host. It is the disclosure of automatic collection devices required by PIPA art. 30(1) no. 7 and the cookie notice required by the ePrivacy rules in the EEA and UK. We use as few as possible: two strictly necessary cookies, one preference stored in your browser, and an optional, cookieless analytics beacon that runs only if you accept.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser and reads back on later requests. Similar technologies include browser local storage (data a site keeps in your browser without sending it on each request) and scripts that report page views to an analytics service. The law treats these alike: items that are strictly necessary to provide something you asked for may be used without consent; everything else needs your consent first.
2. Cookies and storage we use
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Type | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| uptimex_session | UptimeX (first party) | Keeps you signed in to the dashboard. Set only after you log in; HttpOnly and Secure, so scripts cannot read it and it travels only over HTTPS. | Strictly necessary | 90 days, or until you sign out or change your password |
| uptimex_oauth | UptimeX (first party) | Protects the Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google round-trip against forged requests (a one-time state and nonce). | Strictly necessary | A few minutes, deleted when sign-in completes |
| uptimex.cookie-consent (local storage) | UptimeX (first party) | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics so the banner does not ask again. Never sent to us. | Strictly necessary (your preference) | Until you clear site data or change your choice here |
| Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon | Cloudflare, Inc. | Counts page views and visits on the marketing site and which pages are read, by page URL, referrer, country, browser and operating system type, and page performance metrics. It sets no cookie, uses no local storage, and does not track you by IP address, user agent, or any other persistent identifier. It never runs in the dashboard. | Analytics (optional, consent) | Loads only while your choice is Accept; the data it reports is aggregate |
| Paddle checkout cookies | Paddle.com Market Ltd. (third party) | When you open the checkout, Paddle’s payment frame may set cookies it needs to run the purchase and prevent fraud, under Paddle’s own privacy policy. | Strictly necessary for payment | Set by Paddle; see paddle.com/legal/privacy |
| Cloudflare platform cookies (for example __cf_bm) | Cloudflare, Inc. (our host) | Our hosting provider may set a cookie to tell real browsers from automated traffic when a page is under bot protection. It contains no personal data we can read. | Strictly necessary (security) | Up to 30 minutes |
3. What we do not use
- No advertising, retargeting, or affiliate cookies.
- No social-media pixels or cross-site tracking.
- No analytics that identify you or build a profile of you.
- No cookies at all until you sign in or open the checkout, apart from the one strictly necessary security cookie our host may set.
4. Your choices
- Analytics: use the buttons below to switch between Accept and Decline at any time. The change applies immediately: declining unloads the beacon on the next page view, and nothing is sent to Cloudflare while your choice is Decline. We treat a browser’s Global Privacy Control signal as Decline.
- Browser settings: you can block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking the sign-in cookie means you cannot stay signed in; blocking Paddle’s cookies means the checkout may not complete.
- Clearing site data resets your choice and the banner will ask again on your next visit.
5. More information
How we handle personal data more broadly, including the legal bases for each category and your rights, is in the Privacy Policy. Questions about cookies: support@uptimex.co.
