Advanced monitoring configurations

Every monitor tunes to exactly what you are watching, from content rules to incident policy, on every plan.

Learn about advanced monitoring

Content rules

Match a keyword or assert on a JSON field, so a 200 that renders an empty shell still counts as down.

Custom requests

Set the method, headers, and body to check authenticated and POST endpoints, not just a plain GET.

Response and SSL checks

Expected status codes, redirect following, and SSL-certificate validation, tuned per monitor.

Up, slow, or down

A slow threshold makes latency its own state, so a 200 that takes four seconds is not simply up.

Fail and recover thresholds

Require several failures before down and several successes before up, so a blip never pages you.

Incident policy

Tune when an incident opens, its grace before closing, and mute planned work with maintenance windows.

Free is for watching a couple of personal sites. Pro adds faster checks, more monitors and status pages for one person. Team raises the limits to 50 monitors and 5 projects and adds 5 seats per project with roles, an audit log, on-call escalation, and 90 days of history.

Switch the billing toggle to Annual and you pay the lower yearly rate, saving up to 21% versus paying month to month. You're billed once for the year.

On the web, payments are handled securely by Paddle, our merchant of record, which processes your card and any applicable taxes and emails you a receipt for every charge. In the UptimeX app you can subscribe through the app store on your device instead. Either way it's one account and one plan.

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel whenever you like. Nothing is deleted when you move down: monitors beyond the new limit are paused until you remove some or upgrade again, and paid features such as status pages switch off until you re-subscribe. Refunds follow our refund policy, so reach out if something isn't right.

Nothing breaks. Your existing monitors keep running; you just can't add new ones until you upgrade or free up a slot.
