Refund Policy

Last Modified: 3 November 2026

This Refund Policy explains when UptimeX (operated by Rekwiem, business registration no. 357-58-01022) refunds payments for paid plans and how to request one. It forms part of the Terms of Use. It never limits the rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live; where those give you more, they apply.

1. In short

  • New web subscription: full refund if you ask within 14 days of your first payment, no questions asked.
  • Renewals: refunded if you were charged in error, if we failed to provide the service, or if you ask within 7 days of a renewal you did not mean to keep and have not used the paid features since. Otherwise cancel to stop the next charge; you keep access until the period ends.
  • iOS (App Store): Apple handles refunds; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Android (Google Play): within 48 hours request it through Google Play; after that, email us and we apply this policy.
  • Refunds go back to the original payment method. We start a refund within 3 business days of approving it; your bank decides when it shows.

2. Billing and cancellation

Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically until you cancel. Cancelling stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep paid features until then. Cancelling does not by itself refund the current period. Cancel web subscriptions in the Billing section of your account settings in the dashboard (where you can also undo the cancellation before the period ends) or through the Paddle link in your receipt, and app subscriptions in your Apple or Google account settings.

3. Your statutory right to withdraw

  • Korea: under art. 17 of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce you may withdraw from a purchase within 7 days of the contract (or of the day the service started, if later). We do not apply the digital-content exception in art. 17(2) no. 5 to a new subscription: you may withdraw within 7 days even after the service has started. If the service differs from what we advertised or agreed, you may withdraw within 3 months of supply or 30 days of learning of the difference (art. 17(3)). Under art. 18 we refund within 3 business days of your withdrawal and, if we are late, pay the statutory late-refund interest.
  • EEA and UK: as a consumer you may withdraw within 14 days of a purchase made through Paddle, under Paddle’s Buyer Terms and the Consumer Rights Directive, and receive a full refund. Paddle’s terms let the right lapse if you asked for immediate access and started using the service; we do not rely on that for new subscriptions, so the 14-day refund above applies regardless.
  • Elsewhere: if the law where you live gives you a withdrawal or cooling-off right, we honour it.

4. When we refund

  • A new subscription on the web, within 14 days of the first payment, for any reason.
  • A charge made in error: a duplicate charge, a charge after a confirmed cancellation, or a charge at the wrong price.
  • A renewal you did not intend to keep, if you ask within 7 days of the renewal date and have not used the paid features since it renewed.
  • A fault on our side that prevented you from using the paid features for a significant part of the period and that we could not fix after you reported it. We refund the affected period or offer credit, at your choice.
  • A discontinuation of the Service or of your plan by us: the unused part of any prepaid period.
  • Any other case where the law requires a refund.

5. When we do not refund

  • A change of mind after the applicable withdrawal window, where you kept access to the paid features.
  • Time you did not use during a period you had already paid for, or a partial period after you cancel.
  • An account we suspended or terminated for a breach of the Terms of Use.
  • Taxes already remitted to a tax authority, except where the provider refunds them with the purchase.

We may still refund or credit in other cases at our discretion. Doing so once does not oblige us to do so again.

6. Web purchases through Paddle

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for web orders. Paddle issues your receipt and invoice and returns refunds to your original payment method. You can ask us directly (below) or ask Paddle through the “Request a refund” link at paddle.net; either way we review the request under this policy and Paddle pays the refund. Please contact us or Paddle before disputing a charge with your bank: a chargeback on an approved refund delays it.

7. Purchases through the Apple App Store

Apple processes payments for in-app subscriptions and decides refunds under its own policy; we cannot issue them ourselves. Sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com, choose “Request a refund”, select the UptimeX subscription, and submit. Apple usually replies within 24 to 48 hours. If a charge is still pending you cannot request a refund yet. Cancelling a subscription in your Apple account settings stops future charges but does not refund the current one. If Apple declines a request that meets this policy, contact us and we will help where Apple’s rules allow.

8. Purchases through Google Play

Google processes payments for Android subscriptions. Within 48 hours of a purchase or renewal you can request a refund directly from Google Play (play.google.com, Order history); Google usually decides within one business day. After 48 hours Google refers you to the developer: email us and we will apply this policy and process an approved refund through the Play Console. Cancelling in your Google Play subscriptions settings stops future charges but does not refund the current one.

9. How to request a refund

  • Email support@uptimex.co from the address on your account.
  • Include the platform (web, App Store, or Google Play), the approximate date and amount of the charge, and the reason.
  • We reply within 3 business days. If we approve, we start the refund the same day (within 3 business days of approval at the latest); card and bank processing then takes 5 to 10 business days depending on your issuer.
  • A refund ends the paid features for the refunded period and returns the account to the Free plan; your monitors and data stay, with Free plan limits applied as described in the Terms of Use.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; the version in force when you made a purchase applies to that purchase. Changes are posted here with the date above.
