Where UptimeX runs
The iPhone, iPad, and Android apps, the web dashboard, and the API, and how they share one account.
This page explains the three places one UptimeX account shows up: the apps, the web dashboard, and the API. They share the same data, so where you work depends on what you are doing.
#The apps
UptimeX has apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android. They are where alerts land first:
- Push notifications arrive on every device the project's owner is signed in to, the moment an incident opens or closes, with nothing to configure. On Pro and Team, certificate and domain expiry warnings arrive the same way.
- On iOS you can start as a guest and attach Apple, Google, or email sign-in later. Your monitors come along.
#The web dashboard
The dashboard at uptimex.co is the full management surface: projects, monitors, notification channels, incidents, maintenance windows, status pages, team members and roles, API keys, audit logs, usage, and billing. If something can be configured, it can be configured here.
#The API
Everything the dashboard does with monitors, channels, incidents, maintenance windows, and status pages is available over the REST API with a project API key. The same key lets an AI agent manage monitors over MCP.
#Signing in
Apple, Google, and email with a password all work, on the web and in the apps. Each method creates its own account, so sign in with the same method everywhere. An account's email address cannot be changed afterwards.
#Which surface for which job
| You want to | Use |
|---|---|
| Get paged when something goes down | The apps. Push is on by default. |
| Set up projects, channels, status pages | The web dashboard. |
| Automate or script anything | The REST API or an AI agent over MCP. |
